Director of Content Development and Production
Creating entertaining content for fashion.Novi explored the dangers of breast implant and explant surgery. Susana Field discussed the largest nuclear accident cover-up in U.S. history.
Social Media
That Nurse Look highlighted nurse/influencers and how they juggle their lives. Sanrio explored the importance of characters, like Hello Kitty, in child recovery.
Marketing
Smart Boost created a series of experiments with anti-bacterial agents. Scrubs was a podcast series celebrating nursing, as read by real nurses.
From Clothes to Content
I was tasked with creating a production studio to generate content promoting a wide range of products and brands in the medical field. The work I did resulted in a 100% increase in brand engagement, which ultimately led to a 3% boost in sales.
CareismaticThe Incident at Susana Fields
I interviewed NBC's Matthew Glasser, to discuss his brilliang coverage of this story. A story that is ongoing, as the radioactive gas leaked from the 2,800-acre laboaratory at Susana Fields, in 1959, has never been cleaned up. The nuclear contamination shadows much of Los Angeles county, from Simi Valley to Canoga Park.
The West Coast has the highest rates of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the US. I was told, Netflix had penned a deal with Kim Kardashian, for her documentary (which never aired), but saddly this news played a large part in haulting our production.
The story is still important, children are still getting sick, and the US governement still owes the residents of California an explination.
NBC Los AngelesMicroNOrganisms
SmartBoost is one of the first laundry additives designed to provide clothes with a protective layer that kills bacteria and microorganisms. It was specifically aimed at medical professionals, helping to protect their laundry from the potential contaminants they bring home from work. While scrubs are antimicrobial, the rest of their laundry likely isn’t. I created an ad campaign featuring time-lapse photography and mold to showcase the product’s effectiveness.
Stories for nurses, by nurses.
Not only were we collecting real stories, but I also reached out to other medical podcasts to bring their content under our brand. There are many great podcasts that would thrive with just the slightest promotion. My goal was to transform Scrubs into more than just a magazine and podcast—it was meant to become the media hub for medical information.
A market that remains largely untapped.
This is also where I uncovered a web of nepotism, extortion, and lies that ultimately led to my predictable removal from the company. Which, honestly, was fine. It was a very abusive work environment. You can even see HR bullying employees on Glassdoor.
